Mitch Friedman, Founder/Director

Mitchell is the founder and chair of Vetus Foundation and has been involved managing and operating skilled nursing facilities since 1979. A prior licensed nursing home administrator, Regional Director, President, and CEO of several regional nursing home chains in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Florida. Mitchell’s expertise includes managing therapy operations and the challenges associated with small rural nursing homes and assisted living operations. Mitchell is devoted to the mission of providing high-quality care for residents and has surrounded himself with a team of professionals who share his commitment to excellence. 

Jeremy Summers, COO

Jeremy’s passion for the long-term care industry started at an early age as a CNA after high school. Jeremy obtained his RN license in 2008 where he quickly proved himself as a leader and was promoted to DON. Jeremy continuously showed success in navigating the long-term care industry, when he was promoted to Nursing Home Administrator, and thereafter promoted to VP of Clinical Operations. Jeremy now works as the CEO developing and implementing strategic plans for long term growth and success. 

Christopher Gonzalez, CAO

Chris strives to cover critical aspects of skilled nursing facilities and center compliance. Chris served as a Nursing Home Administrator in 2012. Chris’s dedication and extensive knowledge awarded him the Florida Governor’s Gold Seal Award in 2013. Chris excelled in the long-term care industry, resulting in a promotion to a multi-state Regional Administrator. Chris now works as the CFO for Vetus Foundation and believes with a defined focus, Vetus can improve patient outcomes and regulatory excellence to achieve the financial wellbeing of the organization. 

Dave Marshall, CFO

Dave has 25+ years of financial and operational experience in the healthcare industry. A skilled professional in strategic planning, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, revenue cycle, project management and most importantly customer service. He is a CPA with an MBA in Finance and an accounting undergraduate degree. With both financial and operational experience, Dave understands the importance both functions are in the success of an organization.

Kevin Conner, General Counsel

Kevin serves as General Counsel for the company, helping protect the various Facility’s interests and overseeing compliance and regulatory matters. He is a licensed Florida Attorney and holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialty in Management. Kevin is committed to ensuring the facilities are compliant with licensing requirements and government regulations, building policies and procedures for the facilities, and working to promote the health, safety, and welfare of each resident. 

Amy Ruble RN, BSN, Regional Nurse

Amy has been in the nursing field for over 30 years, beginning her journey as a CNA in long term care. She received her RN degree in 1995 and earned her BSN in 2020 from Aspen University. Her focus for the last 20 years has been in nursing leadership and quality assurance as DON, Compliance Officer for the State of Colorado, Regional Quality Assurance Nurse, and Regional Nurse Consultant. Amy is passionate about ensuring quality of care and regulatory compliance is achieved through education and leadership support. She is also a strong advocate of providing person centered care to promote the quality of lives for those we serve.

Jonathan Friedman, Chief Talent Officer

Jonathan has grown up in the industry, spending his childhood at ALF's and SNF's. Jonathan started his career as an AIT and steadily worked positions throughout the industry. His social skills and deep knowledge of the industry afford him an edge when it comes to talent acquisition, as he knows the intricate details of all the industries many positions.
